Portrait commissions are usually life-size in oils on linen canvas.

They are begun with drawings and colour notes during an initial meeting which may take place at the sitter's venue.

Subsequent sittings take place on location or in my Wharfedale Addingham studio.

Ideally, the portrait is painted from two-hour sittings though additional photographic reference material may also be used.
